We hope you’ll take part in this merger convention, set for March 25-27, 2010. This time, we’ve got a particularly exciting new moment for the brand new merger between three Oromo organizations based on ULFO principles. As a merger convention participant, you’ll be able to witness the unity for a good cause, a day to put a complete unity of our three organizations in action!

Continuing our Journey to freedom
Date: December 2, 2009
To: All Oromo’s and Organizations
From: FIDO Communication committee
Re: Continuing our Journey to freedom.
In 2006, we announced Front for Independent Democratic Oromia’s (FIDO) milestone a transformation for freedom as our goal: to become and “make FIDO a benchmark forcooperation for Oromo organizations.” Since that time, we have focused our efforts to foster positive environments among Oromo liberation organization.
We have supported this pursuit with our work around the cooperation, attracting public engagement, leadership development, and alignment of goals and performance management. We have also had considerable focus on achieving many memberships’ quality goals as well.
The Milestone unity as a goal is not the end of our journey; it is simply a road marker as we continue to strive for excellence in all we do. FIDO has made many improvements over the past few years; however, we have yet to achieve “transformational change,” that we need, change that is so pervasive and cultural that it becomes our natural way of providing leadership and guides our people toward freedom.
Nevertheless, the Ethiopian regime is maneuvering with changing political landscape of the area and the fast changing world environments in order to clinch to power. They are able to convince the world community by portraying themselves as the evangelical of democracy by playing the unthinkable political games.
